These rocks SUCK.

Boulders from the garden beds
These are brutal. We are trying to dig out some new beds in our back yard in which to plant our new garden. And these sons-of-b#@%*es are everywhere, about 4 inches below the surface. This makes it impossible to simply till the soil. No, we have to excavate the beds before we till. There is nothing more frustrating than hitting a damned rock every time you stick your shovel in the ground. I got my workout this afternoon hoisting these giants out of the bed. There is so much left to do, but it’ll all be worth it once I am canning home-grown tomatoes. (right???)

I swear when I was pulling that big one up (the one my foot is on) I thought I was going to open up a geyser.
We can’t wait until these beds are tilled. Then we need to get a bunch of new topsoil to mix in with the clay-rich soil we are currently digging up. So all in all, lots more work to do. Lots and lots and lots.
